Internet Speed Test
Calibrating Your Connection...
Curious if your ISP is delivering the speeds you pay for, or if your VPN is causing lag? Use our visual internet speed test tool to measure your download throughput, upload capacity, and network latency (ping/jitter) in real time.
Network Performance Analysis
After Action Debrief
This test provides a snapshot of your internet connection's performance. Your Download speed affects how quickly you can pull data from the internet, like streaming movies or loading websites. Upload speed determines how fast you can send data, crucial for video calls and sending large files. Ping measures latency—the delay before a transfer begins—which is vital for responsive online gaming. A lower ping is better. Finally, Jitter measures the variation in your ping, with lower values indicating a more stable, consistent connection.
Tech Glossary
- Download (Mbps)
- Megabits per second. The speed at which your device pulls data from a server on the internet. Higher is better.
- Upload (Mbps)
- Megabits per second. The speed at which your device sends data to a server. Higher is better.
- Ping (ms)
- Milliseconds. Also known as latency, this is the reaction time of your connection. It's the delay for a data packet to travel from your device to a server and back. Lower is better.
- Jitter (ms)
- Milliseconds. The variation in ping over time. High jitter can cause buffering in streams and lag spikes in games. Lower is better.
